Saxony is one of the leading states in Germany in terms of its commitment to accessible travel in Germany. Since 2006 the Saxony Tourism has dedicated itself intensively, and in close cooperation with its Saxon partners, to the development and marketing of accessible tourism offers in Saxony. This ranges from research and on-site visits of the facilities up to the mapping of accessibility and to the publication of these offers. Thus, Saxony now has a wealth of accessible tourist offers for people with disabilities—both for cultural and city travelers as well as for active holidaymakers in the Saxon regions and in the cities.
