Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham is widely recognized as the godfather of WCMX (Wheelchair Motocross). A Guinness World Record holder, reality TV star (America’s Got Talent), and Nitro Circus athlete, he has traveled the world pushing the boundaries of what’s possible while inspiring countless fans along the way.
Born with spina bifida and adopted as an infant, Wheelz never saw his condition as a limitation—but as an opportunity to reach new heights. From an early age, inspired by watching his big brother at the skatepark, Wheelz used his wheelchair as a tool for creativity and eventually, adrenaline-fueled stunts. He landed the first-ever wheelchair backflip and continues to redefine adaptive sports.
Beyond his athletic achievements, Wheelz is a devoted husband to Charlee Fotheringham. In 2023, they welcomed twin boys into their family, adding a new and exciting chapter to his already extraordinary life.
At Stellantis, we created the DriveAbility program to provide vehicles that allow for adaptive upfits and help make life easier for our owners. Regardless of the obstacles they may face, we are committed to helping our drivers stay mobile and achieve their dreams. We are so grateful for our ongoing partnership with Wheelz on the DriveAbility brand. He truly embodies everything we stand for and inspires our community to #LiveForward.
