Michele Erwin is the President of All Wheels Up. Her interest in accessible air travel began in 2011 when it became clear traveling with a physical disability and uses a wheelchair was not safe. Today, Michele works to further accessible air travel through research and advocacy related initiatives. AWU was the first organization to fund the research for wheelchairs and tiedown systems for in-cabin use. All Wheels Up work has been used to create pathways for stakeholders to develop a concept for a wheelchair spot on planes. Today All Wheels Up is consider a leader in accessible air travel research.
