Thunder Walker is deeply committed to the wellness and empowerment of the Autism, Apraxia, and Multi Disabilities (ADM) community. She founded The Breathe House, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers support and resources for families with special needs children. One of its key features is a wellness-focused Lifestyle Real Estate Retreat, a three-bedroom home located near White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas. This retreat is designed as a sanctuary where families can find balance and harmony.
Thunder also serves as president of Autism Underground, a meet-and-greet group that educates parents and families newly navigating an ADM diagnosis. Her initiative, Securing the Toybox, highlights the importance of toys in developmental learning.
Her latest project, I Need A Voice!, represents a powerful advocacy platform and political effort. As HR 1662 moves through Congress, Thunder is dedicated to educating parents, teachers, and communities about the impact of Down Syndrome, Autism and Apraxia. Her goal with I Need A Voice! is to ensure every child has a voice, regardless of their disabilities.
In addition to her advocacy and nonprofit work, Thunder is the devoted mother of her beautiful autistic daughters and charming son. She also teaches inclusive yoga and meditation classes. Her unbreakable spirit and dedication are a true testament to her passion and resilience.
