BraunAbility MXV Takes Canadians on the Open Road in Style
By Haley Checkley, BraunAbility
Abilities Expos bring together vendors selling a myriad of products, but rarely are you presented the opportunity to purchase excitement. This weekend at Abilities Expo Toronto, BraunAbility is unveiling its industry-first and long-anticipated MXV—a mobility SUV packed to the brim with excitement.
BraunAbility Branches Out Into SUV Conversions
BraunAbility—the founder of the accessible vehicle market—has been giving mobility independence to the disability community for 45 years. So why all the fanfare for the MXV? Built on the Ford Explorer chassis, the MXV is the dawn of the next era in mobility.
Known for being responsive to the needs of its clientele, the company recognized that not everyone in the community is completely sold on driving a minivan (although several will be in the booth as well for more traditional buyers). BraunAbility's latest innovation gives their signature quality and reliability an added rough and tumble feel.
"Many of our customers have been looking for a vehicle that reflects who they are," said BraunAbility's Canadian Sales Manager Lloyd Updike. "The BraunAbility MXV is an original; it's perfect for the tough, independent and active wheelchair users who want to identify with their vehicle. It's exciting to finally show it to Canada."
Introduced in 2016 in the United States, it met with resounding approval. Now it's Canada's turn to see the MXV up close and personal at Abilities Expo Toronto.BraunAbility MXV: Form, Meet Function
It's not just the vehicle itself that is new; the MXV has also introduced accessibility features and innovations the likes of which have not yet been seen.
The MXV features space-saving features, including a revolutionary glide-out door operation and adjustable sliding shifter. And the roomy interior just got roomier with cantilevered seat bases, innovative infloor ramp, removable front seats (both driver and passenger), and fold-flat third row seats. Top that off with an integrated key fob, standard Nerf bar, and available tow package, and you have the next generation of accessible vehicles.
In an MXV, wheelchair users will have the independence, versatility and dependability they expect from BraunAbility, while still maintaining their personal style. Stop by the BraunAbility booth to see the excitement of the MXV and meet the local BraunAbility mobility consultants.
