Due to Nyla’s periventricular leukomalacia, a brain injury experienced in the NICU, she now has weakness on her right side and encounters challenges with movement and coordination. Nyla is not independently walking or talking. She is also living with epilepsy and asthma.
Her favorite activity at school is riding the adaptive bike during gym class, and now she’ll have one a home to help strengthen her muscles and improve her mobility, control and coordination!
