Meet Your Master of Ceremonies, Madonna Long
The incomparable Madonna Long will serve as the Events Arena Master of Ceremonies on behalf of Hollister during the Houston Expo, taking place at the NRG Center on August 5-7, 2022. Madonna has been a force for advocacy and independence since 1981, when a school bus accident caused her to become a paraplegic.
A familiar face in the halls of Congress, Madonna's journey to our nation's Capital began in her twenties when she ran for the Nevada state legislature alongside former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
For more than 20 years, she has helped drive legislation efforts to protect access to health care and independence for people with disabilities nationwide. Today, she continues to serve her community from her home state of Wyoming where she serves on several disability boards while also assisting people who have medical supply needs.
When asked about the most rewarding aspect of her legislative advocacy efforts, Madonna says, "I am not just working for myself. I'm working for everyone like me who has a disability, while bringing the message to our leaders to ensure that medical and mobility products we need are reimbursed through Medicare or Medicaid."
